Update From Sylvia......

It is wonderful how 14 people who have never met each other and whose only connection is through Sylvia's Children have begun to communicate with each other!

One of the men on the trip has been a soccer and basketball coach so he is bringing soccer balls and basketballs. Lo and behold, another man on the trip is a coach and they are working together.

Another member of the trip is going to work with the little children and have them design greeting cards that we can reproduce when we return and sell to raise money for the Mbiriizi Primary School.

Home Away From Home Academy in Matawan has donated 700 shirts, one for each child, plus pencils and pencil sharpeners.

We will be taking 8" squares of white muslin to be decorated by the children so we can make quilts when we return to the United States. We will then use these quilts as fundraisers! We need 3,000 squares and I understand we can get 30 squares out of a yard of muslin. If you want to donate the muslin we have someone who will do the cutting!

We are still looking for acoustic guitars; however, we have 11 so only need five more!

Even our travel agent has gotten involved! She has convinced her local Chamber of Commerce to do a fundraiser for Sylvia's Children so we can purchase goods and supplies for the school.
