12 People Going to Uganda in November!

This year's Christmas trip to the Mbiriizi Advanced Primary and Day Care School in Uganda, Africa has 12 people going!

And, what is so exciting we have seven medical people who will be able to work in the clinic the first three days and give free health care to the villagers as well as updating the health care records of the children.

The other five of us will be stuffing "goody" bags and getting ready for the party! I have not been to the school since March 2015 and did not realize how very much I have missed it. This is an integral part of my life and it is so wonderful to know that we are making a difference in some people's lives.

In case I have been remiss in keeping you up to date we now have five of our orphans who have graduated from college or technical school, another that will graduate this December and 25 orphans who have entered college or are in a technical school to learn a trade.

These children will NOT have to live on $2.00 a day but, rather, have a career and a better life.It is so rewarding to see this happen.

We also have another 127 orphans in secondary school and expect, in this graduating P-7 class, to see another 15- 20 go on to secondary school.

In Uganda, the children have to take a test at the end of P - 7 to see if they are ALLOWED to go onto higher education ... ALL of our children pass that test.

The education at our school is of the highest caliber and it is so exciting to watch these children grow up and have a decent life.

The next trip will be June 15 - 27, 2017 and there are already five people who have signed u p. I really need to know by February 15 if you would like to be a part of that trip.

Just as a reminder, if you are leaving from NY/NJ the investment is $3,500, all inclusive except for the VISA and shots. Elsewhere in the United States it is $4,500 because I have to bring you into N/NJ to fly out with the rest of us! :
