We're adding a chicken farm!

The children at our school are protein-deprived. They get porridge around 10 am and beans and rice (these are the children that live at the school) at 4 pm. Sometimes they get 'Matouky' which is boiled, mashed green bananas which have zero food value.

If we were able to build a chicken farm we could have fresh eggs for the children, chicken for meat once in a while and, if it got big enough, we could sell poultry product to the village, thereby giving the school some income. And, the children could learn what it is to be a chicken farmer.

Africa is getting more and more media attention today as a "last frontier" and one that desperately needs help. Our Chicken Farm project could be a prototype for other schools and other communities, providing food, a vocation and, for the organizations involved, an excellent Corporate Social Responsibility platform (as well as building another business!).

To realize a Chicken Farm for the school we are trying form to form a 3-phased development partnership:

* A National Poultry or Egg Association
* An Academic Institution
* A Chicken Farming Organization

Contact us with any suggestions you may have!
