Jjubi Umar Has Recovered!

New Year's Eve we had word that Umar was in the hospital and not doing well. He was recovering from Typhoid Fever but had to have surgery. We were very worried so asked nurse Brigitte Daley (we call her Saint Brigitte!), who lives right in Masaka, to go to the hospital and tell us exactly how he was doing.

Much to our relief he was well on his way to recovery and this picture, which was taken a couple of weeks ago, tells us he is fine. School started January 24 (they are on a school year January to November) and he is back in school!

This is just another example of how vital it is for us to have a medical clinic at the school so we can keep the children healthy. Thanks to all who kept him in their prayers.
