The Start of our Chicken Farm!

Meet Derek (the beautiful rooster) and Michele (the fat white one) who are the beginnings of our chicken farm. Both of these were gifts to us at Christmas time as a thank you from the parents and/or guardians of two children.


Derek, who is from Derek's guardian (that was the one young man's name), was named after the young man who had a broken arm and we got him to the hospital and had it fixed. Michele (the hen) was a gift from Molly's mother. Molly has had Otitis Media for 6 years and it was never cured. We finally found a doctor who cured it! Incidentally, Ronnie named the hen Michele because she was a "fat white chick").

Just found out today we have another chicken donated ... I am waiting for my daughter Michele to name it!
